Spectrum Ministries partners with local churches to reach families in our neighborhoods, build relationships, and offer practical hands-on help. We provide families with food and clothing as well as hairwashes, haircuts, and games for the kids. We share the Gospel through our evangelistic time “Truth ofthe Day” and offer prayers to those in need. Our goal is for the community to know Christ and experience the love of God.
Many in our neighborhoods suffer with leaky roofs, dirt floors and lack of space. Building a home or doing repairs can provide security and peace. Families can flourish when they have a place to call home.
For over 30 years, Spectrum loads vans, cars and buses with over 130 kids from the orphanages and our Community Outreach neighborhoods and take them to Camp Agua Viva (Living Water). For many kids it is the first time they’ve been outside of Tijuana. We want each child to hear the message of how they can have a transformational life with Jesus, and to have FUN!
We support two different orphanages in Tijuana. We provide food, medical assistance, supplies and small maintenance projects. We show God’s love by being advocates for the children.
Children from the neighborhoods ages six to twelve come out every week for our Spectrum Kids Club. We offer a safe environment with fun games, energetic worship, and creatively told Bible stories designed to expose kids to God’s Word and truth. Matthew 19: 14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me…” and that is our goal each and every week!
On a weekly basis, we visit the Tijuana Municipal Dump. We want each person living and working there to understand that God both knows and loves them.
Many kids grow up on the streets which many times can lead to a life behind bars. We hold weekly Bible studies and host quarterly “Retreats” with home cooked meals, games and teaching. We seek to bring the light of God’s Word and the hope of Jesus to the hearts of these young men and women.
