Spectrum's Annual Kids Camp

Each May for over thirty years Spectrum loads vans, cars and buses with kids from tough areas of Tijuana and takes them to camp.  Unlike the urban streets our kids know, Camp Agua Viva (Living Water in Spanish) is nestled in the beautiful mountain hills a half hour southeast outside the city of Ensenada, Mexico.  The kids we bring are ages eight to twelve and come from the Tijuana orphanages and neighborhoods in which Spectrum works.  For many it’s the first time in their lives they’ve been able to run around in the trees and wildlife.  That combined with all the games and activities the camp has to offer make it the highlight of the year for so many of these boys and girls!

Camp is also a special time to share with the kids about Jesus.  Whether it be in our four camp sessions with top notch teaching and fun skits, or our follow up cabin discussions called “What’s Next?”, our aim is to let them know how much their Father in heaven loves them and wants them to know Him!

Our costs to send a kid to camp are $50 per child. Plans are for one hundred and fifty kids this year and your donation will really help. Thank you very much. Your donation makes a difference in the lives of these kids.
